Angel Zhao was appointed President of Alibaba Global Business Group in July 2017. She is responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of the globalization of the Alibaba Group’s ecosystem. Later in March 2018, she was appointed President of Alibaba Fliggy Group. Currently, Angel serves as senior Vice President of Alibaba Group. She has been the Vice President of Ant Financial since May 2013, and a Partner of Alibaba Group since December 2015.
In her previous role, Angel served as Vice President of Finance for Taobao, Tmall and Alimama from October 2009 to April 2013. Prior to that, she served as Senior Director of Finance at Yahoo! China.
Angel is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Public Valuer (CPV). She received an Executive MBA degree from the China Europe International Business School and holds a Masters in Accounting from the Tianjin University of Finance and Economics.
