Mr Tang Jiacai

Mr. Jiacai Tang is a graduate of Tsinghua University, one of China’s most prestigious and influential tertiary institutions. In 2000, he joined the Agriculture Bank of China (ABC) where his first role was in the bank’s software development center. During his tenure at ABC, Mr. Tang gained experience across financial products, banking systems, IT infrastructure and internet banking. In 2015, Mr. Tang joined Mybank, China’s first bank on the cloud, as its Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Driven by his firm belief that the finance industry should be inclusive and involve open collaboration, Mr. Tang led the research and development for a number of key innovations – including a cloud computing powered core banking system, an open platform for financial services providers, a data analytics powered risk management system, integrated inclusive financial products and AI-driven smart applications. At Mybank, Mr. Tang leads a team with an on-going mandate to explore and pilot techfin innovations.
