Dr. Xiaodong He is a Technical Vice President and Deputy Managing Director of JD AI Research, and Head of the Deep learning, NLP and Speech Lab, JD.COM. He is also an Affiliate Professor of ECE at the University of Washington (Seattle). He is a Fellow of the IEEE. His research interests are mainly in artificial intelligence areas including deep learning, natural language processing, speech, computer vision and multimodal intelligence. Dr. He has also held multiple editorial positions of IEEE and ACL journals, and was organisation committee member or area chair of major AI conferences. Before joining JD.COM, Dr. He was the Principal Researcher and Head of the DLTC at Microsoft Research, Redmond, USA. Dr. He holds BS from Tsinghua University (Beijing, China), MS from Chinese Academy of Sciences (Beijing, China), and PhD from the University of Missouri – Columbia (USA).
