More broadly, the ability to connect quantum devices into a network could enable a variety of new applications, such as secure quantum cloud computing. However, noise and decoherence still stand in the way, and the limited transmission rates make quantum communication a scarce resource. In this presentation I will outline some new proposals for the efficient transmission of data collected by quantum sensors, and some new strategies for mitigating (and sometimes completely removing) noise in quantum communication. ![]() |
